Literature recommendations for preparing for the written examination in school education
This section lists textbooks and other publications that are relevant for preparing for the written state examination in school education (see Lehramtsprüfungsordnung I – LPO I; Regulations for the First Examination for Teaching at Public Schools in Bavaria). Please note that this selection of literature has only been compiled for orientation and support in preparing for the written state examination in school pedagogy (27.11.2024).
Preparatory course “Schulpädagogik-Profi” to prepare for the first state examination in school pedagogy
From the summer semester 2018 to the summer semester 2024, the Chair of School Pedagogy with a focus on empirical teaching research offered a digital exam course to prepare for the first state exam in school pedagogy. The vhb course will no longer take place this semester, as there are currently no resources available for a continuation (07.10.2024).

Inspection of the written examination for the lecture School Pedagogy I in the winter semester 2024/25 (examination date 2 on 10 April 2024)
The inspection of the exam from 11.02.2025 will take place on
Wednesday, 12.03.2025 at 1 pm with Mrs. Weigand.

Written exam for the lecture “Introduction to School Pedagogy”
As the examination modalities have changed since the summer semester 2021, the exam will be offered in a new examination format:
45 minute written exam
- Admission requirement: Completion of coursework in the areas of “Klassenmanagement” and “Pädagogische Diagnostik”
- The exam consists of 40 closed questions with three possible answers, whereby only one answer is correct at a time. (Single Choice)
- There are no questions on the topics of “Klassenmanagement” and “Pädagogische Diagnostik”.
- No open questions are asked.
