Preparatory course “Schulpädagogik-Profi” to prepare for the first state examination in school pedagogy
Since the summer semester 2018, the Chair of School Pedagogy with a focus on empirical teaching research has been offering a digital exam course to prepare for the first state examination in school pedagogy. The vhb course can be used free of charge by students at Bavarian universities. After successful participation, students at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg receive 5 ECTS for the free area. Students from other universities receive a certificate. The crediting of ECTS depends on the requirements of the respective university.
Description of the course:
The online course offers an individualised opportunity to prepare for the state examination in school education, covers almost all relevant subject areas in accordance with § 32 of the Teacher Examination Regulations and offers learning opportunities and impulses. In addition, the online course enables students to prepare extremely flexibly and individually, which is particularly important in view of the limited time available in the run-up to the state examination. This means that students can organise the course at their own pace and do not have to be guided by the lecturer or other seminar participants.
The online course “Schulpädagogik-Profi” contains concentrated explanations of the most important learning content, work assignments, repetitions and suggestions for further in-depth study. The course is intended as a useful supplement to your own targeted preparation for the state examination; however, the course cannot replace individual study of the examination content beyond the course format. In view of the intended goal of successfully passing the state examination in educational science, it is not possible to include all topics and sub-areas relating to school pedagogy in the condensed format of the online program. Taking into account the time frame for preparation and the possible tasks, a sensible selection must be made.
Specifically, with reference to LPO I (§ 32 para. 2 p. 2), theoretical foundations of teaching, planning and design of learning environments, also with regard to the requirements of inclusive teaching as well as education and upbringing in schools and lessons were generated as overarching subject areas. This semantic positioning allows the formulation of specific learning and competence objectives.
