More about the Future Forum:

How can schools in difficult situations be better supported? Under this guiding question, on Thursday, 03 November 2022 over 70 participants came together. Head teachers and steering group members from ESF-funded schools in challenging situations, representatives from ESF projects and speakers from the state education authorities discussed at the “Future Forum” organised by the German Children and Youth Foundation (DKJS) in the community centre at the Gemeinschaftsschule am Roten Berg Erfurt.

With the programme Erfolg macht Schule the German Children and Youth Foundation supports schools in difficult situations in their development. Support includes process support, networking, shadowing and training for school stakeholders on current topics. This is made possible by funding from the European Social Fund (ESF).

Michael Wiegleb, Programme Director of Erfolg macht Schule and site manager of the German Children and Youth Foundation in Thuringia: Our vision is to improve the framework conditions for schools in difficult situations through targeted and needs-based support, but also through partnership-based work. The existing support programmes offer excellent potential for this. The Future Forum brings together schools and those involved in school development in Thuringia to shed light on their perspectives.
